ウソ発見機につながれたHondaのデザイナーMartin Petersson。「自動車のデザインは好きか？」「あなたがデザインしたコンセプトカーは、公道を走れるか？」と質問され、針が大きく揺れ動く。インタビューに実直に答えるMartin Peterssonの姿から、デザイナーがものづくりに抱く純粋な喜びを浮き彫りにしたユニークな映像作品。Martin Peterssonがデザインしたのは、世界中のデザイナー80名以上が参加した社内コンペティションで選ばれたコンセプトカー「Honda Project 2＆4 powered by RC213V」。二輪のエンジンを使って四輪の自動車を創るプロジェクト「2&4」から生まれた一台で、販売するためでも、モーターショーのためでもなく、「面白い、新しい乗りものを考えよう」というデザイナーたちの情熱が沸き起こったプロジェクト。
Honda designer Martin Petersson connected to a lie detector: "Do you like designing cars?" "Can the concept car you designed be driven on public roads?" The needle swings wildly when he is asked these questions. Martin Petersson's honest answers in this unique film highlight the pure joy designers get from making things. Martin Petersson designed the Honda Project 2&4 powered by RC213V concept car, which was selected in an in-house competition involving more than 80 designers from around the world. This car was born out of the "2&4" project, a project to create a four-wheeled automobile using a two-wheeled engine. This project was not for sale or for a motor show, but for the passion of the designers to come up with an interesting, new vehicle.
